Chinese stocks slipped during the opening in reaction to a large loss on US stocks markets overnight. The Shanghai Composite fell 1.67% and finished the day at 1,983.76 points, however, Shenzhen Component gained 0.25% to 6,696.83 points. The revival of Shanghai Disneyland theme park plan spurred the sector of related stocks. Jielong Industry Group (600836) gained 10.06%, Lujiazui Finance & Trade Zone Development (600663) gained 10.01%, Tianchen Co (600620) gained 10.06% and Wai Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone (600648) gained 9.97%. Telecommunication shares surged on reports of an imminent approval of 3G licenses. Beijing Zhongchuang Telecom Test (600485) gained 10.01%, Wuhan Yangtze Communication Industry (600345) gained 9.98% and China Satcom Guomai Communications (600640) gained 9.92%. |
